  • What is A1/A2 Milk ?
  • Cow's milk is about 87 percent water and 13 percent solids—the solids being a combination of fat, carbohydrates in the form of lactose, minerals and protein. The major component of the milk proteins is casein; in turn about 30-35 percent of the casein (equivalent to two teaspoons in a litre of milk) is beta-casein, of which there are several varieties, determined by the genes of the cow. The most common of these variants are A1 and A2

  • Say no to A1 milk ?
  • A1 beta-casein protein can cause digestive issues. A1 milk releases a peptide called (BetaCaso - Morphine 7) BCM7 which is not broken down into amino acids making it impossible to digest. Many studies have linked consumption of A1 milk to diseases like diabetes, coronary heart disease, autism, schizophrenia, etc.
  • What are A1 cows ?
Those cows whose milk contains A1 type protein are termed as A1 cows. The widely spread Holstein Friesian (HF) and Jersey cows produce A1 type milk.

  • What are the benefits of A2 milk?
  • Milk derived from desi cows is good for the body, mind and soul. Milk is an important source of calcium, protien & fat. A2 milk is the natural milk from our desi cows which is easy to digest and helps increase immunity, it is so called "stomach - approved" milk and helps fight various diseases. Some people have had the experience that their digestive problems, diabetes, cholesterol issues, etc have disappeared from changing to A2 milk.

  • Why organic raw milk from desi cows ?
  • Milk contains 2 main types of beta-casein protein, A2 and A1. Majority of milk that is available in the market is A1 type or a mix of A1 and A2 type milk. Originally, India was a A2 type milk producing country as our native cow breeds produce only A2 milk. The imported breeds like Holstein Friesian(HF), Jersey etc produce mainly A1 type milk. A1 milk is associated with diabetes, coronary heart disease, autism, schizophrenia and other health related issues. Switch to desi cow milk (A2) and experience the difference . The National Bureau of Animal Genetic Research has recently demonstrated the superior milk quality of Indian cattle breeds.
After scanning 22 cattle breeds, scientists concluded that in five high milk-yielding native breeds – Gir,Red Sindhi, Sahiwal, Tharparka & Rathi– the status of A2 allele of the beta casein gene was 100 per cent. In other Indian breeds it was around 94 per cent, compared to only 60 per cent in exotic breeds like Jersey and HF. The A2 allele is responsible for making available more Omega-6 fatty acids in milk. The pure Indian breed desi cow produces A2 milk, which contains less Betacosmophorine-7 (BCM-7), as opposed to the hybrid cows which generally produce A1 milk.

  • Desi Cows vs Jersey
  • Today most of the milk dairies across India produce milk from Jersey cows. Jersey breeds cannot be considered as cows, as these are originally a breed of a wild animal named URUS. People of Europe hunted this wild animal for good quality and quantity of meat. Shocking fact is that even today the milk of these animals are not used directly for consumption in Europe because the milk of these animals contain a poisonous chemical called CASOMORPHINE. At this point of time, saving Indian indigenous cow is the matter of urgency for nation’s health because no food is complete without milk.

  • AYURVEDA INTRODUCTION
  • In Ayurveda, cow urine (Gomutra) occupies a unique place and has been recognized as water of life or “Amrita”.
[1] In Sushruta Samhita, it has been described as the most effective substance of animal origin. In India, drinking of cow urine has been practiced for thousands of years.
[2] Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder characterized by hyperglycemia, glycosuria, hyperlipidaemia, negative nitrogen balance, and sometimes ketonemia.
[5] The widespread pathological changes leads to complications like retinopathy, microangiopathy, and nephropathy.
[6] Most of the oral hypoglycemic agents, currently in use, produce serious side effects like hypoglycemic coma and hepatorenal disturbances. Also safety of most of the presently used drugs is not established during pregnancy.
[7] Hence, there is an urgent need for the search of safer and more effective hypoglycemic agents. Cow urine has been granted US Patents (No. 6,896,907 and 6,410,059) for its medicinal properties, particularly as a bioenhancer and as an antibiotic, antifungal, and anticancer agent. With regard to the latter, it has been observed to increase the potency of “Taxol” (paclitaxel) against MCF-7, a human breast cancer cell line, in in vitro assays (US Patent No. 6,410,059).
[8] There are so many claims regarding the use of cow urine. Out of these the most important claim is regarding its antidiabetic and antioxidant activity, but only few scientific literatures are available to support this claim.
[9] Hence, the present study was designed to validate the antidiabetic as well as the antioxidant effect of Gomutra ark (GoA) scientifically and also to know if it has any acute and chronic adverse effects and cause any biochemical change in urine parameters. Cow is abode of gods. She is Kamdhenu (desire fulfiller) personified. All the demigods reside in the body of a Cow. She is receiver of the auspicious rays from all heavenly constellations. Thus she contains influences of all constellations. Wherever there is a cow, there is influence of all heavenly constellations, blessings of all gods are there. Cow is the only divine living being that has a SURYA KETU NADI (vein connected to sun) passing through her backbone. Therefore the cow’s milk, butter and ghee has golden hue. This is because Surya ketu Vein, on interaction with solar rays produces gold salts in her blood. These salts are present in the cow’s milk and cow’s other bodily fluids, which miraculously cures many diseases. Ayurveda is the branch of Vedas, which deals with holistic aspects of health by using various medicinal herbs. Health means physical, mental and spiritual well being too. Although prior art clause applies to Cow’s Urine used as medicine, it has been given three or more US Patents: 6410059, 5616593 and 5972382. It is very unfortunate that many people in India have lost faith in the traditional systems of Indian medicine, now that the scientific community of the West has documented the usefulness of Cow’s urine in medicine, our people will be more convinced about the efficacy of our own medical systems, widely accept it, use it and benefit from it in regaining their health. The Westtern research has shown that Cow’s Urine is antibiotic, antimicrobial, antifungal and anti-tuberculosis. Cow urine distillate has been proven as activity enhancer and availability facilitator for bioactive molecules including anti-infective and anti-cancer agents
